Currently, due to drought conditions in Tennessee, water levels on Center Hill Lake are lower than normal. Guests should expect a short hike of approximately ¼ to ½ mile to reach the base of Burgess Falls.
Despite the lower water levels, Burgess Falls remains as picturesque and awe-inspiring as ever!
For your comfort during the hiking portion, we recommend wearing sturdy walking shoes or sneakers, as the path can be rocky and uneven in places.
Typically August is when our dry season in Tennessee begins, and water levels on Center Hill Lake drop. From that time until the end of our season in October, the Burgess Falls paddle will require a short walk (¼ to ½ mile) to reach the falls.
